A published author since the age of 7, a Startingbloc fellow at 16, and the first Thai to be recognized by the We Are Family Foundation (which hosts TedxTeen) as a Global Teen Leader, Yada Pruksachatkun has always followed where her passions have led. After getting a $300,000+ scholarship to THINK Global School, the first traveling high school in the world, she is now an 18-year old college junior at Wellesley College studying Computer Science and Math with a concentration on Applied Math. Her journey thus far has taken her from a small city in Thailand to Tedx and the United Nations to pitching in front of executives from Google and SAP,. After discovering Computer Science in January 2015, she has since worked at places like Facebook, the World Bank, and the MIT Media Lab, as well as startups.
Where next? Well, she's working on a patented surgical device for glaucoma, and taking the plunge with the intersection of data science and venture capital.
